United States Airforce- Security Police
The United States Air Force Security Forces (SF) are the ground defense force and military police service of the U.S. Air Force. The Security Forces (SF) are also known as Military Police (MP), Air Police (AP), and Security Police (SP) at various points in its history. Due to its significant ground combat mission, the Security Forces are sometimes regarded as integral infantry within the Air Force.
The Airman Battle Uniform (ABU) is a U.S. camouflage combat uniform; it is a service-distinctive uniform as it is primarily used by the United States Air Force, its civilian auxiliary, and some civilian employees of the U.S. Department of Defence (DoD). It replaced the Battle Dress Uniform and Desert Camouflage Uniform on 1 November 2011 after a four-year phase-in period.
On 14 May 2018, The U.S. Air Force announced that all airmen will transition from the Airman Battle Uniform to the OCP (Operational Combat Pattern)Uniform. All airmen will be permitted to wear the OCP Uniform beginning on 1 October 2018, and the wear out date for the ABU is 1 April 2021.
Description
This is the current Combat uniform worn by the United States Airforce. Is is known as ABU. This is the basic uniform for hire. The uniform consists of the following;
ABU “Tiger Stripe” Camouflage tunic and trousers- US Tan coloured T-shirt- Desert Combat Boots- Black or Sand trouser belt- Patrol Cap- any rank badges required. This illustration shows an Airman First Class who wears a Communicators Qualification Badge.

USAF POLICE arm brassard- rank badges (always corporal or above) Tech Sgt (E-6)- Security Police Belt- Double Mag Pouch for Pistol- 2 leather handcuff pouches with chain link handcuffs- Radio Pouch with Radio fitted with fist mic- ASP and ASP holder- Holster for Beretta FS92- CS spray holder- Beret with Security Police Badge- All relevant badges on jacket to suit.
