Fire Brigade PBI Gold uniform- Breathing Apparatus

Today’s design (October 2018)

The ‘gold standard’ of modernised personal protective equipment (PPE) reflects the changing role of the modern firefighter.

The light colour of the ‘Titan 1260 fabric with PBI fibres in the gold colour will show contamination easier than the previous dark blue PPE. This will allow firefighters to see any carbon contamination or general detritus at an earlier stage and send the items for cleaning.

This is the full uniform and equipment for  British Fire and rescue Service. The Uniform consists of the following;

PBI Gold Fireproof Jacket and Bunker trousers- Navy Blue T-shirt-  Safety Boots- Angle Torch and Gallet Helmet.

In addition this example illustrates the full breathing apparatus for hire consisting of the following;

Breathing Apparatus (prop only-not practical)- Nomex balaclava (Navy or Sand colour) Safety Gloves- Safety line in pouch- Face Mask- Oxygen Bottle- Regulator- Adjustable rigging Harness.
