Coldstream Guards Parade Uniform- with Greatcoat
Within the organisation of the Coldstream Guards, Number 7 Company is known as a public duties incremental company and consists of 5 officers and 88 soldiers.
It is based in Wellington Barracks next to Regimental Headquarters and the Band, and its primary role is ceremonial; guarding Royal Palaces, providing State ceremonial on State occasions, such as the Queen’s Birthday parade, better known as ‘Trooping the Colour’.
All Guardsmen for public duties wear the ‘Home Service’ Dress tunic in summer or greatcoat in winter and bearskin with a red plume.
Description
This is the current parade uniform for the Coldstream Guards. It is available for hire with or without the firearm. This illustration shows the iconic SLR service rifle so this impression dates prior to the introduction of the SA80 (1980).
The Uniform consists of the following.
Black leather Ammunition Boots with studded soles- Dark Blue wool trousers with red stripe- Scarlet wool tunic with all correct buttons and lace- white T shirt- Buff Leather parade belt with correct buckle- Bearskin with red Hackle (plume) and Brass chin chain- Greatcoat
