Description
This costume depicts one of the most iconic uniforms and armour of the English Civil War. The Parliamentarian Cavalry of more commonly termed “Roundhead”. Other nicknames such as “Iron Sides” and “Lobsters” have also been associated with this particular set of armour.
The Cavalry Trooper is wearing a standard set of Doublet and Breeches over which a heavy Buff Leather jerkin is worn. In many cases, this heavy Leather Coat was enough protection from cuts and blows but still offered a degree of movement and comfort.
